This year, in an effort to recognize the hard work and dedication of our student-athletes, we are introducing a new weekly honor: “The Hammer Award.” This award will celebrate athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom. Each recipient will receive a T-shirt and be featured in a recognition post highlighting their accomplishments.
We are proud to announce that the very first recipient of The Hammer Award is Gaige R. Gaige had an outstanding performance during the Red Devil football team scrimmage, earning the honor with his physical play and hard-hitting effort. Beyond athletics, Gaige also demonstrates excellence in the classroom, consistently performing at the top of his class throughout his time at the middle school.
Congratulations, Gaige, on being the inaugural winner of this award!
Who will be the next Red Devil to take home The Hammer? Check back next week to find out!

All students will be bringing home an envelope with details on how to purchase, PLUS a coupon book to help them start selling right away. 🎉
💰 Each book is packed with amazing local deals and savings!
🙌 Every sale helps support our school and students.

Parents,
Please see the required immunization guidelines for North Carolina Public Schools. By law, students must be current with their immunizations by September 23, 2025. Please contact the school nurse or your healthcare provider for more information.

We had a great first day of school—it was wonderful to welcome our Red Devils back!
Just a couple of reminders:
We understand that bus routes are still a challenge, but we expect things to smooth out in the coming days. Please be patient with our drivers as they adjust to the updated routes. They are working hard and doing their best to transport students safely to and from school.
We encourage students to arrive at their bus stop 10–15 minutes early and to be prepared for possible delays.
If you have any questions or concerns about transportation, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
We also want to remind everyone about our school dress code. This week, students are receiving reminders, and teachers are reviewing the guidelines with them. Parents, we ask that you please help by reviewing the dress code in the Parent/Student Handbook and ensuring your child is within the guidelines each day.
Thank you for your continued support!

N-CCS families, please share any "First Day of School Pictures" so we can share with our school community by sending your photos as attachments to nccs.communications@n-ccs.org.
By sharing these photos, you agree to allow the district to publicly share through our school district communications and social media.
